I Will Be Full For The Rest Of My Life

UPDATE: This week was the Chilean 4th of July and oh my, I have never eaten so much in my life. It was SO FUN though. We learned Cueca (traditional chilean dance), ate over 10 huge empanadas this week, learned some Chilean games, sang, and then had a zone asado (bbq but 10 x better) with other missionaries in my area.

This week the General Primary and Relief Society president for the whole world wide church held a conference for all of the South America South missions and the Hermanas in my mission got to watch live! These two women are BOSSES and I learned so much about the love of God and how each one of us is so needed.

SPIRITUAL: A cute little Hermana in our ward has us over every week for lunch. She lives alone with two dogs and LOVES to talk about miracles. Though most people would call these miracles coincidences, instead, she sees them as evidence she is loved by her Heavenly Father. She has taught me that even the smallest of experiences can always lead back to God's tender care.

After our lunch in the beginning of this week, I gave her my marked Book of Mormon and had her pick a scripture we could talk about. She turned to page 3 and read the following:

1 Nephi 1:20 (Book of Mormon)-

But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you the that the tender mercies of the Lord are all over those whom he has chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto deliverance.

How beautiful that this Hermana turned to the first chapter amongst all the incredible and thought provoking scriptures in the Book of Mormon and read about the simple, personal tender mercies of the Lord.

In our lives, we tend to look for the extreme examples of miraculous miracles, when in reality, evidence of God and Christ's love is overwhelmingly right in front of us. We just need to take a step back and recognize His daily tender mercies.

Throughout the week, we continued to share this scripture in our missionary work and brought EVERY SINGLE PERSON, men, women, and teens, to tears as they explained a single tender mercy they saw in their own lives this week. The spirit testified so strongly that only an all-knowing being could be so precise in blessing a single person in the exact manner, time, and place it is needed.

You are known. You are loved. You are needed.
