Mosiah 15:7  Yea, even so he shall be led, crucified, and slain, the flesh becoming subject even unto death, the will of the Son being swallowed up in the will of the Father.  I think the word usage of "swallowed" is SO powerful. Christ didn't just submit His will to God, His will was " swallowed up in the will of the Father". There was no room for the desires of the "natural man".  In order to have our will swallowed up in the will of the Father, we need to understand and be familiar with His will.  Mosiah 5:13 For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served, and who is a stranger unto him, and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart ?  Everything depends on the thoughts and intents of our hearts. Elder Neil A. Maxwell taught, "[Our desires] shape our thought patterns. Our desires thus precede our deeds and lie at the very cores of our souls, tilting us toward or away from God." Through scripture study, church/temple atten...

I didn't completely understand the pure peace and strength Christ can give us until this week. Between saying my last goodbyes to my walking-buddy/wise counselor/best friend grandpa Doug, getting COVID, being in quarantine, and other challenges/opportunities the mission life holds, I've NEEDED Christ's comfort. He truly is "The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6), "Bread of Life" (John 6:35), "Teacher" (John 3:2), "Fountain of Living Waters" (Jeremiah 17:13), and ultimately "The Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John 14:6). No doubt about it.  Matthew 11 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. The scriptures are filled with invitations to every person of every kind to lose ourselves , come unto Christ, and find rest. This life i...

Gooooooddddd slash intenseeeee weeeeeeek https://photos.app.goo.gl/21EyypbnKgAqaHje7 Basically in the month of February, every Chilean leaves to travel to the south of Chile. PLUS, there are fires which are making the air super smoky so there is literally NOBODY in the streets and very few people in their houses. A nightmare for any missionary. However, why put limits on ourselves when this is literally the work of the Lord?? If anyone has the power to perform miracles, it's Him. Soooo... we fasted, prayed, worked, and BOOM blessings poured down!!! Moroni 6:9 And their meetings were conducted by the church after the manner of the workings of the Spirit, and by the power of the Holy Ghost; for as the power of the Holy Ghost led them whether to preach, or to exhort, or to pray, or to supplicate, or to sing, even so it was done. I literally thought my heart was going to burst with happiness when I saw all of our friends at church yesterday, singing, talking with members, laughing, and...

I don't like how fast time is going! Someone told me this week, the amount of time I have on the mission and I was SHOCKED!!! I love CHILEEEEE AND MY MISSION! https://photos.app.goo.gl/21EyypbnKgAqaHje7 This week, I focused on the talk Seeing More of Jesus in Our Lives by Sister Tracy Y. Browning (a leader in our church) and I love how she described our dependence on Jesus Christ as a daily and reflexive need.   I have been thinking a lot about the plea of prophets/leaders in the scriptures as well as in today's world to look unto Christ in every thought .  For my whole life I have heard this phrase yet it always seemed impossible and went in one ear and out the other. However, our prophet told us to " strive to look unto Him in every thought".  STRIVE to make Him the center of our thoughts. STRIVE to do what he would do in every moment. STRIVE to make time for Him in our crazy busy lives.  So many of us have felt the power and pure joy of Christ, however, quickly ...
