Break In
Spiritual:
General Conference was so amazing. It was incredible to watch with our friends who have plans to get baptized because you could just see this burning for more illumination. I also loved that all this week I got to bear testimony of our living prophet, Russell M. Nelson, who has a direct and special communication to lead the church of Christ on the earth today.
Each conference, Jesus Christ is always emphasized, however, this conference I felt even more of a push to TRULY KNOW HIM because He is the answer for all life's questions.
Something I have heard before, yet stood out to me again yesterday were the words of Elder Schmitt,
Just as Jesus knows each of us by name, one way we can come to better know Jesus is by learning His many names. As we come to know Jesus’ many names, we will come to better understand His divine mission and His selfless character. Knowing His many names also inspires us to become more like Him.
Our mission president's wife challenged our mission to study one of the gospels in the Bible and analyze everything Christ did. How He talked. What He says. Why He does something.
This activity inspired and opened my mind to a deeper level of thinking. Christ literally lived a perfect life. He literally raised people from the dead. He literally felt every single pain, loss, and trial ever felt by any man, woman, or child. He literally overcame death. He is LITERALLY our Savior because His is the only name under heaven whereby we can be saved.
