Spiritual: Moroni 47

But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.  

 

 

My companion, Hermana Vasquez, is the literal queen of charity. We were talking about how we have been together 24/7 for the past 7 weeks and haven't even gotten annoyed with each other. Some would say it's impossible. HOWEVER, we decided it all came back to the goal of focusing on serving each other. We made this goal the first morning of our time together, and it has brought such love, compassion, fun, mercy, loyalty, and patience into our companionship. 

 

 

In the scriptures we read so much about the importance of love and charity. Honestly, I have overlooked the power of these attributes, but such small acts of service can make such a difference. Applying it has changed my life.

Highs:

-GLADYS GOT BAPTIZED 

-Solid week of enlightenment

-82 year old Luis got a phone?

-After 9 years of practice, I finally french braided my hair and it didn't look awful  

-Rita giving me a hat 

-Moya family giving us fresh squeezed mango juice 

-Found out I am a poet #rosesarered...

-Uncontrollably laughing while leading the music in church (H VAQUEZ IS INCREDIBLE AT THE PIANO)

-Live music in the streets 

 

 

Lows:

-Realized how long I have been out 

-Was thrown into a harsh reality check that I need to work on my spanish when I met the new missionaries and realized they almost have better spanish than me (but also a high because now I have even more of a drive to improve YAY) 

-Hotter than Africa 

-Bastian's (11 year old member in my ward) girlfriend lied to him

-Blinding dust storm 

-Baptisimal font flooded
