Gallon Of Water A Day

James 1:22,25

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only... [for] a doer of the word... shall be blessed in his name.

I decided it was time to read more than James 1:5

It is so easy to feel so overwhelmed with all the things we need to do to progress and become better. Especially as a missionary, I feel like there are always 50 things I am forgetting to apply or do.

HOWEVER, I have recently learned (like this Friday) that by feeling overwhelmed and trying to do everything at once, I wasn't accomplishing  ANYTHING.

It has only been a couple days since I started to implement doing things poco a poco/little by little and I have already seen the blessings. My mind feels less cluttered and I can see progression in myself faster than I thought.

There would be no point to having an 18 month mission if I learned everything in just a few months.
Similarly, there would be no point to our time on earth if I learned everything in the first five years of my life.

HUMILITY, REPENTANCE, PATIENCE, and PROGRESSION is everything. This is how we can be "hearers" AND "doers" of the work and be, "blessed in [our] name".
