OUR FRIEND NATALIA IS AMAZING!! She has been my neighbor for the past couple months but we only ever said "Hola! Cómo está?"

4 weeks ago SHE CAME UP TO US in the park in front of our houses and asked if she could play basketball at the church one time. CRAZY ENOUGH we had planned a "Sports Saturday" that following Saturday with the youth in our congregación!! We invited her and...... she didn't come. We went by her house the following day and asked if we could share a SUPER DUPER INCREDIBLE MESSAGE that will change her life and she said...... "Sipo" (Chilean Spanish)!!! As we were walking to the church to have a lesson outside, I felt so strongly we needed to go back to the house and grab something for our lesson (the spirit is awesome woohoo). Hermana Vasquez agreed. On our way back, we ran into the Bishop's son who invited us to a game night with the youth in our congregation and we all went. She felt so much love during the activity!!!

She has now attended church and other activities consistently and in our lesson this week she included in her prayer " that I can become a part of this church one day". SHE IS GETTING BAPTIZED THIS WEEK.

We asked her what blessings she has seen in her life from attending church and THIS GIRL thought of more blessings than I even realized. One that stood out to me was the LIGHT she saw in the other girls her age at church.

3 Nephi 18:24

Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am [Christ] the light which ye shall hold up

The light that can fill our lives as we come closer to Christ is hard to even comprehend. There are people in my life that are so good and happy, THEY GLOW!! And this light isn't their personality, status, or charm. Their LIGHT is CHRIST.

Natalia has already seen this light fill her life. She told us she went to the mall to buy clothes that are more colorful (tears). She wakes up happy now (tears). She is able to think more clearly and positively (facts).

CHRIST changes lives for the better. It is so beautiful to watch and be a part of.

Highs (a lot this week):

-Hermanas Conference

-Luis teaching us about Abinadi

-My mom #queen

-We had a lesson with our new friend Fabian and IT WAS INCREDIBLE. We gave him a Book of Mormon and I have never seen anyone act so overwhelmingly grateful. My testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon grew so much from our conversation

-80's music everywhere

-Making scrambled eggs every morning

-Focus on charity

-CORN ON THE COB

-Teaching lessons with members

-The mission office giving me my own duffle bag because the amount of packages I get (evidence I am the favorite child and grandchild)

-Natalia already doing missionary work

-Extra gratitude for my comp Hermana Vasquez

-Paul Cardall on ipod shuffle (#1 most played artist of mine 3 years in a row)

-Walter loving the prophet and Word of Wisdom

-WALTER WANTS TO GET BAPTIZED!!
